A church court
established to render judgment in judicial matters pertaining to ecclesiastical
law. The ordinary church court system is
competent in all matters except those pertaining to administrative acts.
The Tribunal
The mission of the Tribunal is to provide justice for all persons who approach the Church's court system. Our mission is fulfilled through rendering judgments concerning people's rights and obligations as well as their status in the Church. Such judgments seek to discern the truth about a case and then render a decision that provides justice based upon the law of the Scriptures, the Magisterial Teaching of the Church, and the Code of Canon Law.
The staff of the tribunal is here to help those who are interested in having the Church clarify the status of a previously attempted marriage or marriages. Be assured of our concern, our prayers, and our desire to help you move forward in life and in your relationship with God, His Church, and the sacraments. We hope you find this information helpful.
