Through the Alabama Accountability Act, scholarships are available for qualifying students in Diocese of Birmingham Catholic Schools. The State of Alabama allows donors to redirect up to 100% of their state tax liability to contribute to tax-credit scholarships for qualifying students who wish to attend the non-public school of their choice. By redirecting a portion of your tax liability to the scholarship granting organization of your choice, donors receive a tax credit, and students receive access to a Catholic education that they otherwise could not afford, providing these students with an education filled with faith, joy, and grace.
Individuals can contribute up to 100% of their tax liability up to $100,000 annually. For step-by-step instructions for how individuals can claim your Alabama State Income tax Credit to provide student scholarships, please click here.
