DIOCESAN AT-WILL EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP
Alabama is an “at will” state. “At Will” is a legal concept that holds that an employment relationship is “at the will” of both the employer and employee. An Employment "at will" relationship can be terminated by either party without cause, with or without notice, at any time. Employees of the Diocese not under written contract for a specific term or a specific project are employees “at will.”

EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The concept of equal employment opportunity is consistent with Diocesan philosophy and in accord with the principles of Christian social justice, which affirm that all persons should receive recognition of their personal dignity and worth. In keeping with this belief, the Diocese strives to provide opportunities for employment on the basis of relevant qualifications, without regard to race, color, gender, religion, national origin, age, veterans or persons with disabilities.
ANTI-DISCRIMINATION
The diocese prohibits discrimination by any employee (regardless of status or classification) of any other employee upon the basis of race, sex, pregnancy, national origin, religion, veterans, disability, and/or any other discriminatory basis prohibited by federal law.
IMMIGRATION LAWS
