2025 Faith in education Match challenge
From February 1 through May 31, 2025, you have an incredible opportunity to double your impact for the Faith in Education Endowment. Two donors have generously offered a matching donation challenge, pledging a $35,000 gift to Faith in Education to once again ensure significant grant awards to our schools in Fall 2025. All we have to do is match that $35,000 by May 31, 2025, and the Faith in Education Endowment will grow by at least $70,000.

What is the Faith in Education Endowment?
Faith in Education is a financial and spiritual commitment to help our schools advance the mission of Catholic education for years to come.
The Faith in Education endowment is an endowed fund with the Catholic Foundation of North Alabama.
Oversight of the endowment is maintained by the Investment Committee of the Catholic Foundation of North Alabama as well as the Faith in Education Review Committee.

Why is the Faith in Education Endowment Important?
The financial model for Catholic schools today relies on funding mechanisms that go beyond that which can be supplied solely by tuition and parish support. Faith in Education seeks to make the life-changing opportunity of Catholic education more available, accessible, and affordable in our Diocese of Birmingham schools.
Catholic education provides a distinctive experience to students and families in forming the whole child in mind, body, and most significantly, spirit, preparing today's students for tomorrow's roles as faith-filled contributors to society. Faith in Education funds contribute to equipping students with the skills and habits of mind, body, and spirit to go out and be disciples in our complex world.

How are Faith in Education funds used?
Faith in Education funds assist schools from the diocesan level to address priority needs or to advance programming in areas that may be outside the established school budget or that occur due to an unplanned need.
Each year, schools in the Diocese of Birmingham are invited to apply for a Faith in Education grant. Grant applications are reviewed by the Faith in Education grant committee and awards are announced each September at the annual Catholic Schools Office Formation Day.
