St. Theresa's in Leeds will host a Lenten Bible study featuring John Martignoni beginning Feb. 22. The lessons will be a combination Bible/Catechism study, with a healthy dose of apologetics thrown in. Learn the Bible, learn the Catechism, and learn how to explain and defend your faith all at the same time.
The first five Mondays, Feb. 22, March 1, 8, 15, and 22, will cover 1st Peter. The next five Mondays of the study, April 12, 19, 26, May 3, and 10, will cover 2nd Peter. Each gathering begins at 6:30 p.m. and will last for an hour and a half.
Throughout the course of the study, Martignoni will discuss redemption, salvation, Christian prayer, Christian living, grace, faith, the Mass, Sola Fide, "once saved always saved," love, purgatory, time, the Sacraments, sin, the pope, and much more! Students will learn how the Catechism is inextricably linked to the Bible, how the Old Testament is linked to the New Testament, how the Bible is linked to the Magisterium, and how you can use both Bible and Catechism to both deepen your faith and share your faith with others.
There is no cost to attend, but please bring a Bible and a Catechism.
