John Carroll Catholic High School is teaming with the Greater Birmingham Humane Society to hold a blessing of the pets on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the high school, rain or shine. If it rains, the blessing will be held as a drive-thru blessing.

The blessing is being held in memory of 2006 John Carroll graduate Megan Montgomery who passed away in 2019. Montgomery was passionate about saving animals and served on the Humane Society's Jr. Professional Board raising funds to help more animals get adopted.

Donations will be accepted to benefit the John Carroll Catholic scholarship fund and the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.

The John Carroll campus is located at 300 Lakeshore Pkwy. in Birmingham.
