In honor of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover will offer a blessing of the pets on Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. The blessing will take place outside near the columbarium toward the school parking lot  All pets are welcome. Please make sure they are leashed, crated or caged for their safety and the safety of others. This year, we will observe social distancing and ask that you wear masks to protect one another. Father John Fallon, pastor, will offer the blessing and then circulate throughout the group to bless the pets.
